Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village is located in beautiful, historic Adams County in South Central Pennsylvania. Our 26-acre campus has a real in-the-country feel, while being close to every modern convenience.
As the site of the Civil War’s most famous battle, Gettysburg is one of the most well-known small towns in America. The Adams County countryside with its apple orchards, rolling hills and picturesque farms provides breath-taking year-round views.
Nearly all shopping needs can be met within a short distance. Grocery stores, pharmacies, department stores and an outlet mall are located nearby. A wide range of dining options is offered in the area.
Gettysburg Hospital and the Wellspan Adams Health Center are just 10 minutes away.
Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village is located a few minutes from the Route 30 Lincoln Highway Exit of Route 15, providing easy access to Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg.
Three local colleges, Gettysburg College, Mount Saint Mary’s University in nearby Emmitsburg, MD, and the Gettysburg Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College, provide year-round educational opportunities and host entertainment, athletic and cultural events. In addition, the Lutheran Theological Seminary is located in Gettysburg. The Majestic Performing Arts & Cinema Center provides a diverse series of professional touring artists and exhibit films.
For outdoor activities Gettysburg National Battlefield Park, Caledonia State Park, Mont Alto State Park, Catoctin Mountain Park and Cunningham Falls State Park are all easy drives and provide a multitude of hiking, fishing, boating and biking opportunities. There are several public golf courses in the area and for those who enjoy winter sports, Ski Liberty is just 15 minutes away.
