Joe Studivant, BS, director:

Joe is responsible for managing the H.E.L.P. (Health, Education and Life Enrichment Programs) Center which includes the daily operation of the ADVANCE Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Senior Companion and multi-site case management services.

Joe graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science in political science. He is a certified Family Group Decision Making coordinator/facilitator and a certified Bridges Out of Poverty trainer. Joe is affiliated with Sertoma Club of York, York County Human Trafficking Taskforce, York County Communities that Care Resource Team, Adams County Truancy Work Group and York County Circles Initiative Guiding Coalition.

Juanita Sprenkle Jones, MHS, program coordinator and co-facilitator:

Juanita Jones is program coordinator and co-facilitator at ADVANCE, a domestic abuse intervention program in York, PA.  She is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) and works with adolescents who have sexually abused other children.  She is a co-founder of York Rape Crisis Center (now Victim Assistance Center) and ACCESS-York, a shelter for battered women.  She also serves on the York County Fatality Review Board and Recommendations Committee.

She participated in the design, implementation, and co-facilitation of Women Choosing Non-Violence, which addresses women’s use of violence, and ADVANCE Fatherhood for men whose abuse affected a child. 

Juanita earned a Masters of Human Services degree from Lincoln University and has additional education and experience in crisis intervention, human sexuality, adoption, and cultural diversity.  Juanita enjoys her four children and four grandchildren, drumming circles, and faerie festivals.
