Message from Judy
In challenging times people find themselves in need of help. Many face financial problems, unemployment or other personal struggles for the first time. Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania strives to serve our local communities by providing a wide range of Community Outreach Services. We offer case management, counseling services, services linking the deaf and hard of hearing communities and hearing communities, financial literacy, companionship for older adults and more.
In 2010, Lutheran Social Services (LSS) established the H.E.L.P. (Health, Education and Life Enrichment Programs) Center to better respond to the needs of individuals and families and make it easier for those in need to reach LSS. Calls are answered by trained, professional staff that assess needs, offer guidance and support and make referrals to the appropriate resource, either an LSS program or another trusted community resource. The H.E.L.P. Center enables LSS to provide a “one-stop” service delivery and respond to needs in a timely manner. If you or a loved one is in need of assistance and are not sure which of our programs to call, please call the H.E.L.P. Center at 717.852.4357. Now help is just one phone call away.
