From companionship with a new-found friend to counseling with a highly skilled professional, you may find just the right solution through our wide range of Community Outreach Services.

Community Outreach Services provide the building blocks of a strong foundation in the lives of many people in the community. Deaf Center services link the deaf community and those with hearing impairment to the wider community. Senior Companions enable many to continue to live as independently as possible. ADVANCE helps men confront violent behavior in their lives and learn to affirm non-violence as a renewed way of life. Case Managers work every day with people who fall through the cracks in our society. Touch-a-Life provides service to those with specific short-term need for support. Stephen Ministers provide ongoing Christian care to people experiencing life needs or crises. Lutheran Counseling Services, Inc. offers professional counseling. LSS helps coordinate Congregational Health Ministry with a variety of free services, including Parish Nurse. Learning Tree Child Care nurtures and cares for the youngest among us while parents work.

Through Community Outreach Services, Lutheran Social Services touched the lives of 2,632 people in south central Pennsylvania in 2006.
