Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace, our newest continuing care retirement
community (CCRC), sits on 45-acres in the rolling farmlands just south of Hanover
PA. Situated in picturesque South Central Pennsylvania, the village is at the
crossroads of two large cities and two smaller quaint towns. Residing just one
hour from Baltimore and Harrisburg and a half hour from York and Gettysburg, our
residents never have to travel far to find something to do. Lutheran Retirement
Village at Utz Terrace offers residents the tranquility of a small town with convenient
access to world-class restaurants, shopping, entertainment and cultural treasures.
 Opened in 2006, the community bustles with activity. The village offers residential
living in spacious cottages and apartments, an assisted living residence and a
skilled care center.

Our cottages and apartments provide private residences for people who desire
an active, independent lifestyle and opportunities
 for personal fulfillment. Enjoying the comfort and privacy of your own home
without the chores and maintenance, you will be free to take advantage of the
many social, recreational and educational opportunities at the village and in
the surrounding community. You will also have the security of an around-the-clock
emergency call system.

The monthly service fee for each residential living unit includes:

ASSISTED LIVING/PERSONAL CARE
In our 46-bed assisted living residence, we offer a variety of services and amenities
that are designed to meet the changing needs of our residents. Many older adults
need assistance with bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living but
do not require skilled nursing care. Assisted living/personal care personnel provide
this assistance, enabling individuals to remain as independent as possible.

SKILLED CARE CENTER
Our nursing and rehabilitation center features comfortable, homelike surroundings,
warm hospitality and high-quality, compassionate care that maximizes independence
and emphasizes dignity. We are guided by a personal commitment to create an environment
in which the needs of our residents are met with understanding, compassion and
professional expertise. Our center is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department
of Health and is Medicare and Medicaid certified.
Our skilled professionals provide around-the-clock, effective and compassionate
health care. Whether you need short-term rehabilitation or long-term nursing care,
these services are available to you.

OAKVIEW MANOR
In partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Lutheran
Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania provides federally subsidized housing
for elderly and handicapped/disabled persons on our Lutheran Retirement Village
at Utz Terrace campus. Oakview Manor, a 19-unit apartment complex operated by
West Manheim Housing, Inc., serves age and income qualified residents.
