2011 marks 60th Anniversary of Lutheran Social Services

Lutheran Social Services will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2011. Events are being planned to celebrate employee and volunteer contributions; acknowledge friends and supporters of LSS; and thank those who use our services and reside in our communities.

One of the most notable events will be a worship service scheduled for Sunday, October 23 at the Lutheran Theological Seminary Chapel in Gettysburg.  Rev. Mark S. Hanson, Presiding Bishop – Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is scheduled to preach and preside.  Rev. B. Penrose Hoover, Bishop – ELCA Lower Susquehanna Synod, will assist with the worship service.  Plans include assembling an “All LSS Choir” and a reception immediately following the service.
